Pelicans Injury Report Kings

Zion Williamson Ruled Out for Pelicans' Play-In Game with Hamstring Strain

Pelicans Star Faces Uncertain Future After Latest Injury Setback

New Orleans to Rely on Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum in Must-Win Game

New Orleans Pelicans' star Zion Williamson has been ruled out for Friday night's NBA play-in elimination game against the Sacramento Kings due to a left hamstring injury.

The injury occurred late in the Pelicans' loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in the SoFi Play-In Tournament on Tuesday. Williamson's absence is a significant blow to the Pelicans, who are the sixth seed in the Western Conference and just two games ahead of the eighth-seeded Kings.

Williamson has been dealing with injuries throughout the season, appearing in only 32 games. He recently returned from a 12-game absence due to a left knee injury, but has only played in two games since his return.

In Williamson's absence, the Pelicans will rely on Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum to lead the way. Ingram is averaging 24.3 points per game this season, while McCollum is averaging 20.0 points per game.

The Pelicans are 1-1 in their two games against the Kings this season. The two teams will meet in Sacramento on Friday night for the winner-take-all play-in game.
